what are some easy Italian Recipes that poor people would eat in Italy?

hi im looking for some Easy Recipes that me and my friend could make in a 40min period? but they have to be from Italy and they have to be something that poor people would eat

fava e cicori- fava b eans and wild greens with garlic. The south of Italy is a really traditionally poor region, with no meat, dairy and stuff. So the local plants were eaten- chickpeas, fava beans, wild asparagus, garlic, all stuff growing in the ricky barren soil.
It’s traditionally a non meat eating place too- it was too rocky for grazing and meat was expensive when ti WAS got.

Fava e cicori is actually my favourite dish it’s SO traditional and lovely.

Other things- pasta e ceci- pasta with chicpeas.
Pizza ( it means “pie) in Italian is traditioanly a very poor dish= dough made from seolina flour, tomatoes, mozzarella and a few pieces of basil witj olive oil spread over. Poor food!

Polenta is cornmeal, and a trad, poor food- This polenta recipe is 100% traditional.

Ingredients

1 ½ liters of water

500 gr of ground yellow Indian corn

salt to taste.

Bring some lightly salted water to the boil

Drop the corn meal into the water while mixing continually with a wooden spoon (the spoon must be wooden otherwise it effects the taste).

Cook for forty minutes or until it comes away from the sides. An egg can be added to the final dish if you would like it to be a little richer.

Serve hot as a single dish or as a side to a roast.

You can also let it cool and cut into slices. You can then serve the slices with hot milk for breakfast

Professional pizza and traditional European bread ovens are often lined with stone or brick. This is so heat is stored up and redistributed evenly.
